Honorina is not an actress, but she must play a theatrical performance on which her life depends. If she makes a mistake in the improvised script, she could cause the disappearance of her entire family. Honorina lives alone with her mother in an isolated farmhouse in an Asturian village; at least, apparently. In reality, since the war ended, she has sheltered three wanted men in a hole under the kitchen of her house. After years without returning to her birthplace, Honorina’s daughter goes back with the grandchildren of these men to show them what remains of the hiding hole. At the same time, a theatre company is developing a dramatic piece based on the writings of the protagonists, which are coming to light for the first time.
