TICKETS, VOUCHERS AND FULL PASSES

Vouchers can be purchased at the box office or online. Each voucher allows you to exchange 10 or 5 tickets at the box office or online, using the code (código de canje) assigned to each voucher. Vouchers are valid for the screenings from 15 to 23 November, except for the opening and closing ceremonies. They will also allow access to the Press and Accredited Passes. The vouchers are NON-REFUNDABLE.
FULL PASSES AND PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATION – APPLICATION DEADLINE HAS PASSED

These passes and accreditations are personal and non-transferable. They can be bought online or at box offices (applications for Professional Accreditations must be made online). Passes and accreditations are NON-REFUNDABLE.
Once the payment has been made, user will reveive a code (código de canje) to exchange for the tickets, both online or at the box office.
These passes and accreditations allow to book one ticket for each screening between the 15th and 23rd november, except Opening and Closing events. They also allow tickets for Press and Accreditations screenings.
Ticket changes and cancellations can be made, providing the original ticket, at the box office up to 2 hours before the session. By email (taquilla@gijonfilmfestival.com) until 6pm the day before in the case of morning screenings and until 1pm the same day in the case of afternoon screenings.
TICKETS FOR OPENING AND CLOSING EVENTS
Tickets for Opening and Closing events will be available online and at the box offices two days before the event.
- The Opening Event will take place Friday the 15th at 19:30 in Teatro Jovellanos and it includes the screening of a film. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday 13th at 12:00.
- The Closing Event will take place Sunday 23rd at 19:00 at Teatro Jovellanos and will consist of the award ceremony followed by the screening of a film. Tickets will go on sale Thursday 21st at 12:00.
In both cases seating will be restricted by protocol and tickets will be numbered. Vouchers, accreditations and passes are not accepted. No vouchers, passes or accreditations can be exchanged for these events.
SCHOOL SCREENINGS: ONLINE SALE ONLY
From 14th november and exclusively online, tickets for school screenings will go on sale. (Matinées marked as ESCOLARES in our screening schedule)
Priority access and seating will be given to school groups with prior reservations. General public will have to wait until they are all accomodated to take their seat. There is a possibility that the presence of school groups may affect the cinema experience.
PRESS SCREENINGS AT ESCUELA DE COMERCIO
In press screenings at Escuela de Comercio (marked as PRENSA Y ACREDITADOS in our schedule), press acreditations have priority. Press accreditation holders will have the tickets available to them at box offices or online from 7am the day before the screening. For the other accreditation holders, tickets will be available from 7pm the day before the screening.
FREE ADMISSION SCREENINGS
Screenings marked as ENTRADA LIBRE in our schedule are free, but tickets must be booked at box offices exclusively on the same day of the screening (limit of 4 tickets per person).
POLICIES AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Tickets must be collected at box offices or online for ALL screenings, including free admission (Entrada libre) and Press and Accredited (Prensa y acreditados).
Online ticket sales and exchanges will be interrupted ten minutes before the start of the screening.
We recommend that you purchase or exchange your ticket as early as possible to avoid queues and the loss of your right to access the venue due to delays caused by waiting.
Tickets purchased online can be downloaded during the transaction, and in a variable period of time will be sent in pdf format to the e-mail address entered during the purchase. They can be displayed on the mobile phone (except broken screens) or printed.
At certain times, the system may take a few minutes to send the tickets to the email, as it prioritises the viability and security of transactions over delivery. Check if your card has been charged before attempting a repeat purchase. The system will automatically rescue and send the queued tickets.
From the moment a screening begins, there will be no tickets on sale at the box office for that session. It is not possible to change or return tickets once the screening has started.
Please arrive in advance for screenings. Carrying a ticket does not entitle you to enter the venue once the screening has started. Out of respect for the rest of the audience, ACCESS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ONCE THE FILM HAS STARTED.
The YOUTH rate will be applied to tickets and full passes purchased by people born in 1989 and later. Your ID card may be requested to check any ticket exchanged under this option.
